Winterbourne Academy probably has some of the nicest, kindest and most polite children around. They add to our community and society. Sometimes you only get to hear about a few bad apples but Winterbourne Academy is sharing some of the amazing feedback it’s students receive, both academic and outside school. Calling Local Performers

We are looking for local groups to perform at our upcoming Christmas Market at Winterbourne Academy. Held on Sat 26th November 2022 from 11am-3pm.

Groups can perform for 15-30 minutes depending on your preferred time slot. Or even have more than one slot if we have space in the schedule. In the past we have had local dance groups, ballet schools and choirs but there is the opportunity for anyone looking to exhibit their skills in front of family, friends and a local audience at our amazing festive fun day out. Performers will have the chance to shine in the drama hall of Winterbourne Academy for free.

The entry fee for the Christmas Market is just £1 per adult and children are free. So everyone can come and enjoy the amazing array of stalls, with gifts, crafts, food , festive games, kids craft table and all the free entertainment.

Promoting our local performing groups

With so many opportunities to perform cancelled, due to the recent Covid-19 epidemic, we are providing local performing groups the chance to exhibit all their hard work and show their impressive skills once more, at our Christmas Market. We aim to help restore our community feeling and support local businesses’ and groups get back to normal. We have two dance studios and two choirs performing at the event.

Welcome to our new website. This much anticipated event has been a labour of love by the WAPTA committee to help improve communication and transparency with the school community. Having our own website allows us to quickly update our messages, news and calendar so that our students and stakeholders can see what we do, how hard we work for you all and what is being achieved.

Previously we merely had a single page on the school website that was very difficult to update and could only contain limited information. This new site allows us to give you the latest information as we get it. It enables you to instantly communicate with us and send us feedback or fill in forms, vote for your preferences and join our various initiative with the click of a few buttons.
